NEWSPRINT PROJECT CONSORTIUM MEMBERS
Permitting Epsilon Associates, Inc.("Epsilon") advised and assisted BEDCO on all matters related to the State and Federal permitting of the Newsprint Project. Founded in 1997, Epsilon is an employee-owned engineering and environmental consulting firm based in Maynard, Massachusetts. The company provided a variety of services, including regulatory strategy, route selection, environmental analysis, licensing, permitting and expert testimony.
Financial Morgan Stanley, based in New York City, New York, has been engaged as financial advisor on the Newsprint Project. HSH Nordbank, headquartered in Germany, has been appointed as lead arranger for financing of Newsprint Project. They are one of the leading financial institutions in Northern Europe with assets of approximately EUR 170 billion and approximately 4,500 employees worldwide. As lead arranger, HSH Nordbank assisted in structuring the project financing, and is assembling a group of underwriters and lenders to finance the project. BENCO has retained a placement agent who is completing the equity portion of the financing.
Legal Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC ("BSK") is a law firm of over 160 attorneys headquartered in Syracuse, New York. BSK is acting as legal counsel to BENCO, assisting in permitting processes before the respective agencies, real estate, tax, contractual and other matters relating to the development of the Newsprint Project. Torys LLP ("Torys") is a law firm with approximately 300 attorneys located in its principal offices in New York and Toronto. Torys is providing legal services to BENCO in areas associated with the EPC, Owner’s Engineer, and O&M Contracts. Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner, LLP, a law firm with approximately 400 attorneys, is providing legal services to BENCO to support the financial closing of this Project.
Title Insurance North River Abstract Corporation, ("North River") is providing Title Insurance and is advising and assisting BEDCO on all real property matters affecting title. Founded in 1989, North River is a title insurance agency located in Poughkeepsie, NY. North River is an agent of First American Title Insurance Company of New York. Furnish Supply Weyerhaeuser Corporation has been engaged to furnish 100% of the fiber required to operate the Recycled Newsprint Facility. Weyerhaeuser is a world leader in integrated forest products with operations in 19 countries, and is one of the largest paper recyclers in the world. Equipment Supply Metso Paper has been selected as the supplier of the paper machine and the deinking equipment for the Project. Engineering, Procurement and Construction Oscar J. Boldt Construction ("Boldt"), headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin, has been selected as the EPC contractor for the Newsprint Project. Boldt is one of three divisions of The Boldt Company, a privately owned business founded in 1889. Boldt is considered one of the leading contractors in the pulp and paper industry operating in North America. Owner's Engineer Pöyry (Vancouver), Inc., one of Canada's foremost forest industry engineering companies since the 1980s, has been selected as the Owner's Engineer for this project.
